Welcome to FindHumsafar.com (the "Platform"), an Islamic Shariah-compliant matrimonial service designed exclusively for Muslim individuals and families seeking marriage partners in accordance with Islamic principles. These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the FindHumsafar website (https://findhumsafar.com), our Progressive Web Application, our Android application, and our iOS application (collectively, the "Services").
Please read these Terms carefully before creating an account, browsing profiles, or making any payment. By accessing the Services, registering an account, or using any feature of the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms, our Privacy Policy, our Photo Guidelines, and our Community Standards. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must immediately discontinue use of the Services.
FindHumsafar.com is owned and operated by its parent entity registered in India, with its principal place of business in Pune, Maharashtra. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Member", "you") and FindHumsafar.com ("we", "us", "our", "Company") under the laws of the Republic of India, including the Indian Contract Act 1872, the Information Technology Act 2000, the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules 2021, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
1. Definitions
- • "Account" means the registered user profile created on the Platform.
- • "Content" means all photographs, biodata, text descriptions, expectations, family information, voice notes, and any other material uploaded by Users.
- • "eKYC" means electronic Know-Your-Customer verification using government-issued identification.
- • "Free Member" means a User availing the basic Nikah Seeker plan without paid subscription.
- • "Paid Member" or "Premium Member" means a User who has purchased a Silver, Gold, or Platinum subscription.
- • "Salaam" or "Interest" means the digital expression of interest sent from one User to another.
- • "Shariah-Compliant" means consistent with the principles of Islamic jurisprudence as broadly accepted across major schools of thought.
- • "Personal Data" has the meaning given to it in the Digital Personal Data Protection Act 2023.
2. Eligibility
You must satisfy each of the following conditions to register for and use the Services:
- • You are at least 18 years of age (the legal age for marriage of males under Indian law) or 21 years of age where applicable, and you are not below the legal marriageable age applicable to your gender under Indian personal law.
- • You are unmarried, divorced, or widowed at the time of registration. Currently married Users may not register.
- • You are seeking a Nikah (Islamic marriage) for yourself, or you are a parent, sibling, or first-degree relative registering on behalf of an eligible candidate with their explicit consent.
- • You are a citizen or lawful resident of India, or a person of Indian origin abroad seeking a partner of similar background.
- • You have not been previously banned, suspended, or removed from the Platform for violation of these Terms.
- • You are not impersonating any other person and the information you submit is true, current, and complete.
FindHumsafar reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to refuse registration or terminate any Account where eligibility cannot be established or where representations made by the User are found to be false.
3. Account Registration and Verification
3.1 Registration
To use the Services, you must create an Account by providing accurate personal information including your name, date of birth, gender, email address, mobile number, marital status, religious sect, mother tongue, education, profession, city of residence, and basic family particulars. You must verify both your email address and mobile number through one-time-password ("OTP") verification before your Account becomes active.
3.2 Authentication Options
FindHumsafar offers multiple secure authentication options including email and password, mobile-OTP login, Google OAuth, Meta OAuth. You may enable Multi-Factor Authentication ("MFA") via OTP or authenticator applications such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator. MFA is strongly recommended and may be made mandatory for certain account types.
3.3 eKYC and Verified Profiles
Users may opt to complete eKYC verification by submitting a government-issued photo identification (Aadhaar, PAN, Passport, or Voter ID). Verified Users receive a "Verified" badge on their profile. eKYC may be processed through certified third-party service providers, and you authorize FindHumsafar to share the minimum data necessary with such providers solely for verification purposes.
3.4 One Person, One Account
Each individual is permitted to maintain only one active Account. Duplicate accounts, fake profiles, or profiles created using another person's identity will be deleted without refund and may be reported to law enforcement authorities where applicable.
3.5 Account Security
You are solely responsible for safeguarding your login credentials. You agree to notify FindHumsafar immediately of any unauthorized use of your Account by writing to security@findhumsafar.com. FindHumsafar shall not be liable for any loss arising from your failure to comply with this obligation.
4. User Profile and Content Guidelines
4.1 Honest Representation
All information you provide must be truthful, current, and your own. Misrepresentation regarding age, marital status, education, profession, income, religion, sect, or photographs is a material breach of these Terms and grounds for immediate suspension and permanent ban.
4.2 Photo Guidelines
Photographs uploaded to the Platform must comply with the following:
- • At least one clear, front-facing, recent close-up photograph of the User showing the full face.
- • At least one full-body photograph showing the User from head to toe.
- • No filters, photo-editing software, beautification effects, or alteration of facial features, skin tone, or body shape.
- • Photographs must be recent (taken within the last six months) and represent your present appearance.
- • Modest and culturally appropriate clothing consistent with Islamic principles. Photographs depicting nudity, transparent attire, or immodesty will be removed and may result in account suspension.
- • No group photographs where the User is not clearly identifiable, no photographs of children, and no photographs of any other person without their written consent.
- • No photographs of celebrities, deceased persons, or copyrighted images.
All uploaded photographs are screened automatically using image-moderation technology and may be reviewed manually by our moderation team before becoming visible to other Users.
4.3 Bio and Expectations
Bios, descriptions, and expectations must be written in respectful language, free of profanity, hate speech, dowry demands, financial conditions, racially or sectarian-discriminatory wording, or any content that violates Islamic ethics or Indian law.
4.4 Prohibited Content
You expressly agree not to publish, upload, transmit, or share any content that:
- • Is unlawful, threatening, abusive, defamatory, obscene, vulgar, pornographic, profane, or invasive of another's privacy.
- • Infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property right.
- • Promotes hate against any religion, sect, caste, ethnicity, gender, or community.
- • Demands or implies dowry, gifts, or any monetary condition for marriage. Dowry demand is a criminal offence under the Dowry Prohibition Act 1961 and will result in immediate permanent ban and report to law enforcement.
- • Promotes commercial services, multi-level marketing, fraudulent investment schemes, or any commercial solicitation outside the scope of the Platform.
- • Impersonates any other person or misrepresents your affiliation with any individual or entity.
- • Contains malicious code, viruses, or any technology designed to interfere with the Platform.
5. Shariah Compliance and Conduct
FindHumsafar is built on the values of Islamic matchmaking. By using the Services you commit to conduct yourself with the dignity, respect, and modesty expected within Muslim marriage seeking. You agree to:
- • Engage with other Users with the sincere intention of marriage, not casual dating, friendship, or recreation.
- • Refrain from sending obscene, flirtatious, or sexually suggestive messages of any kind.
- • Respect the privacy and modesty of female Users in particular, including their right to control photo visibility and contact.
- • Not pressure, harass, blackmail, threaten, or stalk any other User.
- • Not pursue any User who has clearly expressed disinterest, declined a Salaam, blocked you, or whose family has communicated refusal.
6. Membership Plans and Subscription
6.1 Plans Offered
FindHumsafar offers a free Nikah Seeker plan and the following paid plans (subject to revision):

6.2 Pricing and Currency
All subscription pricing is displayed in Indian Rupees (INR) on the Platform and is inclusive of applicable Goods and Services Tax (GST) where indicated. FindHumsafar reserves the right to revise pricing at any time; existing active subscriptions will continue at the price paid until expiry.
6.3 Auto-Renewal
Subscriptions purchased through the Platform are not auto-renewing by default. You will be notified via email and SMS before expiry and may renew manually. Should auto-renewal be enabled in the future, you will be given clear notice and the option to opt out.
6.4 iOS Reader-App Disclosure
The FindHumsafar iOS application operates as a "reader" application under Apple App Store Guideline 3.1.3(a). Subscription purchases cannot be made within the iOS application. Existing paid Members may sign in to the iOS application and access their subscription benefits. To purchase or upgrade a subscription, please use the FindHumsafar website (https://findhumsafar.com) or the Android application.
7. Payments, Fees and Taxes
All payments on the website and Android application are processed securely through Zoho Payments and authorised partner payment gateways. We accept Credit Cards, Debit Cards (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), UPI (Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM), Net Banking, and digital wallets supported by the gateway. FindHumsafar does not store your card or banking credentials. Transactions are protected by 256-bit encryption and processed through PCI-DSS compliant infrastructure.
Goods and Services Tax (GST) and other applicable taxes are charged at prevailing statutory rates. Tax invoices compliant with the Central Goods and Services Tax Act 2017 are auto-generated and emailed to your registered address upon successful payment.
8. Refund and Cancellation Policy
All sales of subscriptions, profile boosts, and digital services on FindHumsafar are final and non-refundable except where required by applicable Indian law or where the Company expressly agrees in writing. The following limited refund situations apply:
- • Duplicate payment or technical billing error: full refund processed within 7 to 10 working days upon verification.
- • Service unavailability for more than 72 continuous hours due to fault solely attributable to FindHumsafar: pro-rata refund or extension at the User's option.
- • Account suspension for cause (violation of Terms): no refund.
Refund requests must be submitted to billing@findhumsafar.com with the transaction ID and supporting documentation within 30 days of the transaction.
9. User Conduct, Reporting and Blocking
9.1 Reporting Objectionable Content
Every User profile, photograph, and message contains a "Report" function. Users may flag content that they believe violates these Terms or applicable law by selecting one of the following categories: Fake Profile, Inappropriate Photo, Harassment or Abusive Language, Spam or Scam, Underage User, Dowry Demand, or Other. Reports are acknowledged immediately and reviewed by our Trust and Safety team within 24 hours of submission.
9.2 Blocking Abusive Users
Users may block any other User from a profile, message thread, or photo viewer. Blocking takes effect instantly: the blocked User is removed from your search results and recommendation feed, cannot view your profile, cannot send you Salaam or messages, and is hidden from your view across the Platform. Each block is automatically logged and notifies our moderation team. Users blocked by three or more independent Members within a 30-day period are automatically reviewed for provisional suspension.
9.3 Zero-Tolerance Policy
FindHumsafar maintains a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behaviour. Confirmed violations may result in content removal, profile suspension, permanent ban, forfeiture of subscription fees, and where appropriate, referral to the National Cyber Crime Reporting Portal (cybercrime.gov.in) or local law enforcement.
10. Content Moderation Rights
FindHumsafar reserves the right, at its sole discretion and without prior notice, to remove, edit, blur, hide, or restrict any content that violates these Terms, our Photo Guidelines, our Community Standards, or any applicable law. We are not obliged to monitor all content but we reserve the right to do so.
11. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on the Platform that is not User-generated, including but not limited to the FindHumsafar logo, brand name, design elements, source code, algorithms (including the Matchmaker Aunty AI matching engine), text, graphics, and database structures, is the exclusive intellectual property of FindHumsafar.com and its licensors. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the Platform for personal, non-commercial matrimonial purposes only.
By uploading content to the Platform, you grant FindHumsafar a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, store, reproduce, modify (for technical purposes such as resizing or watermarking), display, and distribute that content within the Platform for the purpose of providing the Services. You retain ownership of your content. This licence terminates when you delete the content or close your Account, except where retention is required by law.
12. Privacy
Your privacy is fundamental to FindHumsafar. Our collection, use, storage, transfer, and disclosure of your Personal Data is governed by the FindHumsafar Privacy Policy available at https://findhumsafar.com/privacy-policy/, which forms an integral part of these Terms. Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.
13. Account Suspension and Termination
13.1 Termination by You
You may close your Account at any time from your profile dashboard or by writing to contact@findhumsafar.com. Upon closure, your profile becomes immediately invisible to other Users. Personal Data is permanently deleted within 30 days of closure, save for transactional records retained for legal and tax compliance as described in our Privacy Policy.
13.2 Termination by FindHumsafar
We may suspend or terminate your Account, in whole or in part, with or without notice, if we have reasonable grounds to believe you have:
- • Breached these Terms, the Privacy Policy, or any applicable law.
- • Submitted false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
- • Engaged in harassment, abuse, fraud, dowry demand, or other prohibited conduct.
- • Failed eKYC re-verification on reasonable request.
- • Been the subject of multiple substantiated complaints.
Termination for cause does not entitle you to any refund of unused subscription fees.
14. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
THE PLATFORM IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. FindHumsafar does not guarantee that you will find a marriage partner through the Services. While we deploy reasonable verification, eKYC, and AI moderation tools, we do not guarantee the absolute accuracy of any User's self-declared information. You must exercise reasonable diligence, verify information independently, involve your family or guardians where appropriate, and meet prospective matches in safe, public, family-supervised environments.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, FindHumsafar, its directors, employees, advisors, and contractors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including loss of profits, loss of data, emotional distress, or marital breakdown, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Platform. The maximum aggregate liability of FindHumsafar to any User for any cause whatsoever shall not exceed the amount actually paid by such User to FindHumsafar in the 12 months preceding the claim.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless FindHumsafar, its directors, employees, and agents from and against any and all claims, demands, losses, damages, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to: (a) your use or misuse of the Platform; (b) your violation of these Terms; (c) your violation of any third-party right, including intellectual property or privacy rights; (d) any false or misleading information submitted by you; or (e) any dispute between you and another User.
16. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Subject to the dispute resolution mechanism below, the courts at Pune, Maharashtra, shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms.
Before initiating any judicial proceeding, the parties agree to attempt resolution through the following sequential steps: (i) written notice and good-faith negotiation for 30 days; (ii) mediation under the Mediation Act 2023 in Pune; (iii) if unresolved, arbitration by a sole arbitrator appointed under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996, seated in Pune, conducted in English.
17. Modifications to Terms
FindHumsafar may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in law, technology, business practice, or User feedback. Material changes will be notified to registered Users by email and through an in-app banner at least 15 days before they take effect. Continued use of the Services after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
18. Severability and Entire Agreement
If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Photo Guidelines, and Community Standards, constitute the entire agreement between you and FindHumsafar with respect to the Services and supersede any prior or contemporaneous agreements.
